How do I use Florida Science resources in the classroom?

All lessons are free to use in the classroom. Videos can be presented whole group during initial instruction via projector. Following the video, read the passages with your class. The reading passages are displayed so that they can easily be projected on the whiteboard.

All pages in Florida Science can be shared using a link. Links can be shared with your students. There is never any external advertising on floridascience.com, and all lessons are specifically written to the Florida benchmarks in elementary science.

One of the biggest advantages to sharing pages with your students is the ability to work through the content on their own. All videos are closed captioned, with the closed captioning “burned in.” This means you and your students don’t have to remember to turn CC on.

All reading passages are also available for download in the Teacher Center. Teacher Members have access to all passages at only $.99 each, with unit pricing built accordingly. Licensing a product allows a classroom teacher to reproduce that product either in print or electronic form with all students enrolled in that teacher’s class. Additional licenses can be purchased to share resources with teammates.

Please email Ted at ted@floridascience.com with any specific questions or ideas. The great thing about building this in Florida, for Florida teachers, by Florida teachers, is that we can customize any content any way you like.
